We spent 2 weeks travelling across Sri Lanka and Udara was a brilliant guy to assist us with our holiday. He arranged all our transfers as we moved from place to place, informed us, enlightened us, entertained us and added extra stops to our itinerary as he grew to know us and what we might like to see or do.
He bought food for us to try, suggested restaurants, haggled for things on our behalf, advised us, kept 2 crates of water for us in his car and even gave us lovely gifts to celebrate us getting engaged during our visit to Sigiriya. His knowledge seemed second to none and his reputation obviously helped us see and do things that we’d have missed out on had he not been there.
His English is very good (shame on us, our Singhalese is non-existent), his car is clean and comfortable and he’s a friendly, charming, punctual guy.

South Lanka tours MADE OUR HOLIDAY. We spent two weeks travelling the country which was made easy and stress free with the help and guidance of Udura. They went above and beyond to make our holiday extra special. Suggesting stop offs along they way, taking us to food markets, view points, spice gardens, teaching us about the country and having a laugh along the way. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a perfect balance between being on hand and allowing us to enjoy our holiday. Worth every penny. So lucky we found them. Will recommend to all our friends and family.

If you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka I couldn’t recommend South Lanka Tours enough. We booked our entire two week trip with them and they were great from start to finish. We were able to put together a complete and bespoke trip to suit our interests and desires including snorkelling; leopard and elephant safaris; whale watching; trekking and much more. Udara was amazing throughout the trip, he was great fun and extremely friendly and flexible allowing us to make small changes during the tour. His knowledge of the country; it’s culture and it’s rich history was great in allowing us get the best experience. In addition it was clear from the outset that he had no hidden agendas in trying to take us to touristic places etc - he was honest and genuine for the outset which was really refreshing to see having travelled al over the world and had mixed experiences. We will sure be using south Lanka tours in the future to visit the hidden treasure that we couldn’t see this time around, and I recommend you do too!
We were able to see much of Jaffna, including a day trip to Delft island, and a hike in Horton plains national park, and our chauffeur was very helpful and an expert on these places.
Would recommend this company for those looking to see the island and know about its history, interesting places and make the most of your trip.
